A few minutes down our private drive is Playa Playones and Playa Majagual, the most beautiful beaches in Nicaragua. Perfect for sufing. swimming, kayaking ( 3 ocean kayaks provided ) snorkeling and body surfing, there is also a Palapa Bar with drinks and sandwiches. The walk to the beach is 10 minutes of fabulous scenery through the forest on a groomed trail/road. A surreal experience!
Playa Maderas, one of Nicaragua's legendary surfing beaches, is only a 5 minute walk from this point. You won't want to leave... But if you crave some nightlife or a selection of eateries, San Juan del Sur is only 20 minutes away.

Bird and wildlife watching, from the house or on the many hiking trails, is incomparable. Howler monkeys live in the trees around the house, you will hear them, and see them at very close range during most seasons of the year.
Nov thru April is Ocelot and Margay cat season, we have seen them on many occasions. Our resident Kinkajou will visit every night next to the porch in the canopy, where the fruits he loves grow and ripen.
Casa Arbol is located within one of Central America's largest unobstructed wildlife corridors, making incredible wildlife sightings an almost daily occurrence. Exotic birds are everywhere in the trees around the house, binoculars are provided. Perfect surfing base of operations if that's your passion, also. 5 minutes to Maderas.
4WD vehicle is suggested during the rainy season.
