We know hotel rooms are getting scarse in San Juan del Sur this summer, so we invite you to experience Forest and Surf Villa - 15 minutes north of the town of San Juan del Sur. Close enough to drive down to shop for a few amenities, chat with the local surfers or go to a restaurant or bar for some live music and eats but far enough to retreat from all that hustle and bustle.

This ultra spacious 4,000 square foot property has 3 luxurious bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and a smaller, simpler bedroom for one adult or two children. All rooms are fully furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped and if neither of you fancy cooking, we can arrange for a cook to cater lunch and dinner during your stay.

Tucked away in the forest of early morning bird songs and howler monkey calls, Forest and Surf Villa is the ideal home for the yogi, the writer, the artist, the businessman, family and close friends looking to retreat from stress and the city life. We have battery backup for when the Nicaraguan power grid fails, but no cable TV, and no hot water. The cell phone signal only works in the car park, only fresh air and fans, no air conditioning. (We do have wireless internet throughout the house and a TV with DVD player). There is only silence and simplicity, and a chance to meditate, contemplate or build intimate relationships again with family and friends with you on this trip.

Our private pool is shared with one neighboring home, Casa Arbol.

If however, you and your friends are here for a surfing adventure, you will be glad to know that you can stash your boards on your truck and drive down from the house to Playa Playones in 3 minutes. Park the car and walk 5 minutes south to Playa Maderas. The owner of Forest and Surf Villa likes to walk to Maderas with his board from the house, taking him about 20 minutes. Playa Remanso, breaks on sand, excellent for beginners is about a 35 minute drive. Playa Yankee and other surfing beaches are a bit further off. We can arrange for a surfing guide from town to show you all these surfing beaches.

We can arrange for a driver who will meet you at the airport and drive your rental car to the property. Rental of a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for this property especially during the rainy season. Should you need further assistance with car rental, massage services, yoga instruction, surfboard rentals and lessons, local tours and other services, we are more than happy to assist you.
